TEACHERS STATE AWARDS GUIDELINES RC NO 126/MS/2018.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has been giving away State Awards to meritorious teachers working in the Universities and the Colleges in the state on 5th of September, (Teachers' Day) every year. 

The Award carries a Gold Plated Silver Medal, Certificate and a Cash Award of Rs.3,000/-. The teachers are selected on the basis of the following criteria prescribed by the Government.

TEACHERS STATE AWARDS GUIDELINESEligibility Criteria 

A teacher should put in a minimum of 10 years of service as Lecturer in Degree Colleges.
He / she must be engaged in active teaching work on the date of recommendation. However , teachers who have been on regular teaching work during during the previous 12 months shall also be considered.
A teacher who is recipient of this State Award earlier shall not be considered.
Teachers who retired during the previous academic year shall also be eligible.
Judging Criteria :
Commitment to and excellence in academic work and teaching as judged by class room teaching , coverage of course content , regularity, effectiveness of teaching and use of teaching aids and audio-visual aids .
Research contributions, publications, books ,etc.
Professional recognition , awards etc.,
Involvement in student welfare activities ,extension, consultancy and other co-and –extra curricular activities.
Honesty ,integrity ,conduct ,character and ability to get along with the colleagues , students and others.
