TET Eligibility-Criteria

candidates at the time of applying for TET-2018 should be having

the min qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category 1 – 5 classes
(Paper–I) & 6 to 8 classes (paper-II) as given below.

Minimum Qualifications for Classes 1-5: for candidates already in
possession of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuing final
year of respective Teacher Education Course during 2016-2017 or earlier.

Inter / Senior Secondary with at least-50% marks.However, in case of SC/ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum
marks shall be 45%. & pass in 2 – year Diploma in Elementary Education /
4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education-(B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in
Education (Special Education).
OR
Inter / Senior Secondary with at least-45% marks. Inrespect of SC/ ST/ BC/ Differently Abled candidates, the minimum marks shallbe 40%. & pass on 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-yearBachelor of Elementary Education. (B-El-Ed.) /2-years Diploma in Education(Special-Education) in-case of the candidates, who have passed /admitted toD-El-Ed/D-Ed., course before issuing of these guidelines.

Note:- NCTE-guidelines were issued in the Month of August-2010.Therefore, the candidates who acquired qualifications before August,-2010 are eligible for above-said qualifications/Percentage of marks.

Minimum Qualifications for Classes 6-8

for candidates already in possessi of Respective Teacher Education Certificates or pursuingthe final-year of Respective Teacher Education Course during 2016-17 orearlier:B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In case of SC/ST/BC/Differently

Abled candidate, the minimum marks shall be-45%. AND pass in Bachelor of
Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education). OR

B.A./B.Sc./B.Com., with at least 50% marks. In respect of ST/SC/BC/Differently, Abled candidate, the minimum marks shall be-40%. AND pass in Bachel of Education (B.Ed) course / Bachelor of Education (B.Ed -Special Education) in case of the candidate, who has passed/admitted to B-Ed.,
session before the issue of these guidelines.

4-year B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed., with at least 50% marks, in case of SC/ST/BC/Differently, Abled candidate, the min marks shall be 45 Percent. ORGraduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (OR)Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (OR) Graduation in Literature

(OR) Post Graduation in Language concerned AND Language Pandit Training
Certificate/ B.Ed with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in
respect for Language Teachers.
