Revised Roles and Responsibilities Issued - Filling Vacancies in District Assessment Cell - Replacing Vacant Positions in Schools with Other Teachers/ Volunteers - Instructions


Attention of all the District Education Officers is invited to the government memo in ref. 1st above, due to which the State Assessment Cell was established in the O/o Director, SCERT-AP to strengthen the Assessment capacity of Andhra Pradesh. With reference to 2nd and 3rd cited above, proceedings were issued to setup District Assessment Cell teams under the District Common Examination Board (DCEB) at district level to strengthen the district assessment capacity along with the job chart of District Assessment Cell.
After due deliberation with the State Assessment Cell and district administration, it was decided to expand the job chart of District Assessment Cell to ensure more clarity on the roles and responsibilities, team structure, recruitment procedure and the review mechanism to overlook the functioning of the District Assessment Cell. The revised roles and responsibilities of District Assessment Cell are enclosed herewith (Annexure - 1) and will supercede all previous instructions.
All RJDs, DEOs, Project Officers of SSA and Secretaries of DCEB are instructed to ensure implementation of the revised roles and responsibilities of the District Assessment Cell enclosed as annexure-1.

Vacant Positions in District Assessment Cell: It has been brought to the notice of SCERT-AP and Commissionerate of School Education that certain positions in the District Assessment Cell are vacant due to various reasons. The list of vacant positions and reasons for vacancy are detailed in Annexure - II.
DEOs are instructed to issue joining orders to the below mentioned teachers with immediate effect and furnish a report to Director, SCERT within 10 days of issue of this proceedings.
Filling vacant positions with alternate teachers/ volunteers: It has also been brought to the notice of Commissionerate of School Education and SCERT-AP that the vacancies in schools occurring due to candidates joining District Assessment Cell haven’t been filled with an alternate arrangement (teachers/ volunteers) yet. The list of vacancy positions in schools is attached in Annexure - III.
DEOs are requested to fill the vacant positions in schools with immediate effect and furnish a report to SCERT-AP within one week of receipt of this proceedings.
