Government have issued instructions from time to time to maintain Physical distancing between individuals, wearing of masks and frequent sanitization of hands to prevent the spread of COVID infection. Accordingly, in the G.O. 1st read above, Government have mandates wearing of masks by all the individuals in public places and non compliance shall attract a penalty of Rs.100/- and accordingly authorized the Police personnel on duty to impose and collect such penalty.

In the circumstances stated by the Director General of Police, A.P., Mangalagiri in the Letter 2nd read above and in excise of the powers conferred under Section 11 of the Andhra Pradesh Public Health Act, 1939, Government after examination of the matter, hereby delegate the powers of Health Officers to impose a penalty of Rs.100/- (Hundred Rupees only) and any other penalties ordered by the Government from time to time to the Police Officers from the rank of SI and above to ensure proper compliance among the public for the purpose of enforcing COVID restrictions and non-compliance of COVID appropriate behaviour for period of (12) weeks to ensure proper compliance among the public.
